Robbie Brown

Robbie is the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Head of Global Strategy at Bloomberg Media, the news media division of Bloomberg LP. Previously, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on the media and technology industries. 

He graduated from Columbia Business School in 2015, where he was an active member of the Media Management Association and helped run the organization's annual MBA Media and Entertainment Conference. 

Prior to CBS, Robbie spent five years as a journalist at The New York Times. Based in the Times’s Atlanta Bureau, he wrote about major events, including the BP oil spill and 2012 presidential campaign. He has been broadcast on public radio’s “This American Life” and published in Newsweek, The Boston Globe, BusinessWeek and MSNBC. 

Robbie was raised in Atlanta and graduated summa cum laude with majors in journalism and history from Emory University, where he received the Lucius McMullan Award, the top undergraduate prize. He also received McKinsey & Company’s Emerging MBA Scholarship. His passions include journalism, travel, running and golf.
