DARA BLUME

Dara is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School.  Prior to CBS, Dara worked for seven years at Morgan Stanley (in both London and New York), mostly in foreign exchange strategy.  She forecasted exchange rates and made trade recommendations for internal and external clients.  Dara has covered both developed and emerging markets, specializing at times in Swiss, Scandinavian, and Latin American currencies.  Dara started her career at Morgan Stanley in sovereign economic research in London, with a focus on the European debt crisis. Prior to working at Morgan Stanley, Dara taught math at Stowe School as the Harvard-Stowe Fellow.

Dara graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2008, where she studied economics with a secondary concentration in math and a citation in French.

Dara lives in New York with her husband.  In her spare time, she enjoys running in central park, challenging herself to cook in a New York sized kitchen, and eating ice cream.
