Matt Seto

Matt Seto is a principal at Craftsman. Prior to founding Craftsman, Matt was a partner and portfolio manager in the GMO Emerging Markets group. Matt played a key role in the Emerging Illiquid Fund and the Emerging Domestic Opportunities Fund. In addition, he developed quantitative models for the $10B Emerging Markets Fund. Before GMO, Matt was a vice-president in HSBC’s Global Markets Group where he specialized in Asian equities.

Matt received his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and MBA from Columbia Business School. Matt resides in Northern California with his wife and young son. However, he grew up in Michigan, his spiritual home. As such, he's a die-hard University of Michigan football fan. In his spare time, he enjoys running and reading.
