Doug McCrary

Doug McCrary is a Director at Harbert Management Corporation, where he manages the investments of several private equity funds dedicated to power-related assets in North America. Before joining Harbert, Doug was a Vice President in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, providing strategic and financial advice to clients in the power and utilities industry. Prior to business school, Doug was a management consultant with Accenture, focusing on post-merger implementation and strategic change initiatives for financial services companies. 

Doug graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Economics and Engineering Science and received an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School. While at CBS, Doug was music director of the Follies rock band and Vice President of the Energy Club. 

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Doug enjoys reading, SEC football and live music. A serviceable musician himself, he has played guitar in several bands over the last twenty years, one of which was heard on 102.9 “The Buzz” in Nashville.
