Chase is a native Texan, having grown up in Abilene, Texas. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelors and masters degrees in accounting and subsequently completed his certification as a CPA. Chase graduated from Columbia Business School in 2012 as a Feldberg Fellow.
Chase began his career in 2006 as an investment banker in the Energy group at Raymond James & Associates in Dallas, Texas. From 2007 to 2010, Chase worked as a deal professional at the Dallas-based private equity firm, HM Capital Partners. At HM Capital, Chase executed control equity investments across the firm’s consumer and energy industry verticals.
Following business school, Chase joined the Miami-based private equity firm H.I.G. Capital where he was responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring investments in debt and equity securities with an emphasis on special situations and performing and distressed credit investments.
In 2015, Chase joined Lone Star Funds, a global private equity firm founded by John Grayken in 1995. Since the establishment of the first fund in 1995, Lone Star has organized fifteen funds with aggregate capital commitments totaling approximately $60 billion. Chase is currently a Vice President within the firm’s corporate private equity platform.
