Michael is the co-founder and CEO of Pearl Health, a technology powered physician enablement and infrastructure platform helping practices succeed under value-based care models. Pearl is backed by a16z, Viking Global, and AlleyCorp and is focused on empowering physicians and providers to lead our healthcare system to better and more human outcomes. Prior to Pearl, Michael led Oscar Health from a pre-revenue company to its IPO holding leadership roles in Sales, Network Contracting, and Construction and leading the firm’s then largest P&L of over $3B before helping drive the firm’s public listing.

Prior to Oscar, Michael worked for Bridgewater Associates as the Head of Research Analytics in the company’s Research Department where he led the research teams of Ray Dalio, Greg Jensen, and Bob Prince. He also held roles in Client Service and Recruiting and had the opportunity to collaborate closely with Dr. David Ferrucci, the former Principal Investigator of the IBM Watson Project.

Michael is the recipient of the Columbia Business School’s Feldberg Fellowship, a full tuition merit scholarship named in honor of the former dean of CBS, Meyer Feldberg. His mentor of almost 20 years is George David, Chairman of Raytheon Technologies. Michael enjoys reading, exercising, meditation, and meeting interesting people. He is a graduate of Columbia Business School and Harvard College. He resides in New York City, NY with his wife Marcela and two daughters Charlotte and Victoria.
