Eric Langerman

Eric is a Vice President with Ridgemont Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in Charlotte, NC, with $2.4 billion of assets under management for new buyouts and growth capital for closely-held private companies. At Ridgemont, Eric evaluates, structures, and executes new investments and oversees portfolio companies. Previously, Eric worked for Barings, a Charlotte-based asset management firm, and Sentinel Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm. Eric began his career as an investment banking analyst at McColl Partners, an sellside investment banking firm. Eric founded and served as a co-chair of the Hyde Leadership School’s Young Professionals Committee, which supports the Bronx-based charter school through fundraising and mentorship.

Eric grew up in Greensboro, NC and received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a major in Business Administration and a minor in English. Eric received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2016, where he graduated with Dean’s Honors and Distinction (top 5% of graduating class). He was a recipient of Columbia's Feldberg Fellowship, a full tuition merit scholarship in honor of former Dean Feldberg.

Eric’s interests include golf, economics, barbecue, and Tar Heel basketball.
