JASON CINCOTTA

Jason is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School and a Feldberg Fellow. Before CBS, Jason was a founding principal of the Cincotta Co., a boutique real estate development firm building hospitality and residential projects. There he led teams to acquire, design, permit, and build in Boston and Florida. He is passionate about cities, their neighborhoods, and the built environment. Academically, he is focused on the intersections between policy, nonprofits, finance, and private investment and their effect on issues of housing access, affordability, and gentrification.

Prior to his time in development, Jason worked in the Newport Beach, CA office of The Concord Group, a real estate consulting firm. There he analyzed acquisition and development opportunities on behalf of REIT and private equity investors, and modeled and forecasted housing markets.

Jason is a graduate of Pomona College. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in economics with distinction and minored in English. When not running regressions or writing verbose lit crit, he could be found on the Paramount Pictures lot, where he interned in film production, or on a middle school football field, where he coached a local team.

Jason is originally from Boston. He's a dedicated recreational runner, a fan of NBA basketball, and buys books faster than he can read them. He's happiest when he's wandering the city, iced coffee in hand, with his family.
