Victor Eng

Victor is an MBA candidate interested in strategy and entrepreneurship in the media and hospitality industries. Prior to business school, Victor worked as a summer intern at Walt Disney Studios' strategy group, focused on its main franchises including Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Lucas Films. Prior to Disney, Victor did a Fellowship with Out Leadership, which works to advance LGBT equality by partnering with CEO's of Fortune 500 companies. He focused on strategic global initiatives, which included spearheading thought leadership for Out Leadership's LGBT leadership summits in Hong Kong, London, and New York. 

The majority of Victor's career was spent on Wall Street where he worked at Angelo, Gordon & Co. and Goldman, Sachs & Co. At Angelo Gordon, Victor focused on middle-market private equity in the consumer, retail, and specialty finance sectors. In addition to evaluating potential acquisitions of companies, he worked with the executive management teams to strategically grow and improve Angelo Gordon's portfolio companies. He spent the most time with the steakhouse restaurant chain Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and the leading patient loan provider to U.S. hospitals ClearBalance. At Goldman Sachs, Victor was in the Leveraged Finance Group, focused on the Industrials sector. During his time, he completed 18 bookrunner deals cumulatively valued at over $16 billion for leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, and high yield issuances. 

Victor graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance and a minor in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. He grew up in Scarsdale, New York and attended Horace Mann for high school. 

Victor’s interests include angel investing, health, fitness, and traveling. He has also sat on the Executive Boards and founded Young Professional Committees for influential LGBT nonprofits including Out for Undergrad, the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, and the Trevor Project.
