PEMA DONYO

Pema is an MBA candidate and a Feldberg Fellow at Columbia Business School. 

Pema previously worked on the Private Equity team at Partners Capital, a global outsourced investment office with $65B AUM, where she deployed capital through fund commitments and direct co-investments. She spearheaded a strategic initiative to establish the firm's growth equity strategy, resulting in a multimillion-dollar investment in a growth equity fund that she both sourced and co-led due diligence for. Before Partners Capital, she was a senior associate at Riverside Partners, a private equity firm specializing in healthcare and technology. There, she evaluated and executed both acquisitions and sales of investments in targeted industry sectors, as well as supported the firm's portfolio companies. Pema began her career as an M&A investment banking analyst at Cain Brothers.

Pema graduated with the academic distinction of earning both an M.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics in just four years through Claremont McKenna College's accelerated dual-degree program. At Claremont McKenna, she was recognized as a Robert Day Scholar and a McKenna Scholar. She served as Team Lead and Lead Research Assistant at the Kravis Leadership Institute.

Beyond finance, Pema is a published author with a passion for storytelling. Her works include Stars in Their Eyes, a historical romance novella set in 1920s Paris. She continues to write across genres and mediums.
