MELINDA LI

Melinda is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School, where she is a Feldberg Fellow and a Forté Fellow. Prior to attending CBS, she was Director of Development at TM Instruments, an independent production company with a first-look deal at Anonymous Content. There, she shepherded a slate of film and television projects, ranging from a franchise reboot at Universal Studios to a drama series at Apple TV+.

Melinda was previously a Creative Executive at JuVee Productions, the film and television company founded by Academy Award winner Viola Davis, where she developed projects including an Asian epic fantasy series with Gemma Chan attached and an adaptation of Octavia E. Butler's Wild Seed at Amazon Studios. She began her career at Warner Bros. Television in drama development. In 2024, Melinda was selected for the CAPE Leaders Fellowship, an incubator for the next generation of AAPI creative executives. At CBS, she is excited to explore the strategy and operations of the media business, especially as it is being reshaped by technology.

Melinda graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a B.A. in Psychology and a secondary in Economics. She was born in Singapore and raised in Connecticut. In her free time, Melinda enjoys cycling, tennis, board games, traveling, and spending time with her partner (also CBS '28) and their two cats.
